Crawford was born in New Jersey Aug 1829, his parents are unknown. In 1850 he is living in Newcomerstown, Tuscarawas, Ohio where he was a blacksmith. He married Mary on 1 Aug 1852 in Coshocton County, Ohio. She was the daughter of Morris Sharp Flock and Ana Atkinson. They were living in Independence, Jasper, Iowa by 1854.
Crawford server in the Civil War. They moved to Grant, Multnomah, Oregon by 1880. Crawford died on 20 Aug 1884 and is buried Lone Fir Pioneer Cemetery. Mary died 23 Jun 1915in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon and is buried in Rose City Cemetery with no stone.
